How to clean photovoltaic panels?

1. Manual dry cleaning of photovoltaic panels

Operators use long-handled velvet mops and special dust detergents for cleaning.

Main principle: Using the principle of electrostatic adsorption, it has the effect of adsorbing dust and sand, enhances the dust suction and decontamination ability of the dust pusher, and can effectively prevent dust and sand from flying during cleaning.

Disadvantages of manual dry cleaning of photovoltaic panels: Different operators have different strengths and exert different pressures on the components, which will cause excessive deformation of the components and cause cracks in the cells. Another disadvantage is that the effect of dry cleaning the components is not good. Well, the mop is often stained with too much dust, leaving some traces on the surface of the component, causing large areas of shadowing.

2. Artificial water washing of photovoltaic panels

The operation method of artificial water washing is to use a vehicle with water storage function, such as a tractor equipped with a water tank or a city sprinkler truck, with a ratio of no more than 0.4 MPa pressure nozzle is used to clean the components. The water cleaning cost is about 0.2 yuan/m2, which is similar to the price of manual dry cleaning. However, it requires two people to operate at the same time, one person drives the car and the other sprays water to clean the components.

Disadvantages of manual water washing of photovoltaic panels: excessive water pressure on the photovoltaic modules will cause cracks in the cells, and the operator cannot control changes in the nozzle water pressure during the process. Another disadvantage is that after washing, the components will dry on their own, and water stains will form on the surface of the components, which is a micro-shadow block relative to the components.
