Tennis elbow is a chronic traumatic inflammation at the lateral epicondyle of the humerus and the starting point of the common extensor tendon. The disease mainly manifests as gradual onset of lateral elbow pain, with localized and extremely acute tenderness at the lateral epicondyle of the humerus, the radial head, and between the two. The elbow joint is normal and has no redness or swelling. Min's test can be helpful in the diagnosis. . The author used the following methods to cure 153 patients, including 59 males and 94 females; aged 18 to 54 years old.
Treatment methods
Early local cessation of activity and immobilization with plaster. Some patients can relieve themselves after resting.
Occlusion therapy: 2 lidocaine 5ml, dexamethasone 5mg, vitamin B1100mg, direct injection into the pain point or injection into the pain point plus Quchi (after the injection into Quchi, slowly withdraw the needle to the subcutaneous and change the direction before stabbing Pain point injection), once every other day or twice a week.
In the early stage, an elastic bandage can be wrapped around the muscle belly of the distal forearm to relieve pain.
Acupuncture Quchi, Quze, Lieque, and Ashi points once a day or every other day. Massage can also be given.
Additional physical therapy such as short wave and ultra-short wave can reduce inflammation and relieve pain, improve blood circulation and eliminate adhesions to achieve the purpose of healing.
Home self-therapy: warm water immersion, wax pad therapy and hot water bottle hot compress therapy can be used.
Occasionally, if the early treatment is inappropriate, the disease has a long course and the symptoms are stubborn, small acupotomy therapy and peeling and release surgery can be used to cure the disease in 1 to 2 times.
Most patients can be cured using 1 to 2 methods.

Tennis elbow is a common clinical disease and one of the frequently-occurring diseases. In mild cases, it is difficult to hold objects. In severe cases, it is difficult to perform small daily activities such as twisting towels and sweeping the floor, which seriously affects patients’ lives and work. The author uses the above method to treat this disease, which has good curative effect without any side effects. It is easy to be accepted by patients, has reliable curative effect and is easy to master, so it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
