The Spring and Autumn Building is the last building in the main courtyard of Shanshan Guild Hall of Sheqi, which is named after the statue of Guan Yu who reads Chunqiu at night. According to "Inscription on Creating the Spring and Autumn Building in the Forty-seventh Year of Qing Qianlong (AD 1782)", this building was first built by Shanxi and Shaanxi businessmen when they raised funds to establish this guild hall, and a lot of preparations were made for the building. "... the first thing today ... every gentleman lost his sincerity, showed his strengths or tried his best; Or reward good people and persuade them to raise funds; Or escape, based in Chu, from the river to hosts; Or know everything, say everything, visit famous craftsmen, and collect sledgehammer skills in temple architecture. Every time I read about the summer and winter, everything is ready, and five materials are available. Then I can build a mountain with stones, rocks, dramas and pottery, and stand tall ... ". After the Spring and Autumn Building was completed, it was magnificent, and the inscription described it as "the first time Luoluo was consolidated, the sky was high and the clouds were light, resplendent and magnificent". "According to word of mouth, the Spring and Autumn Building was built in Qianlong for twenty-one years, and the platform foundation is very heavy. The ground of the abutment is paved with square green and white stones, with three footpaths in front, left, middle and right, and carved stone fences and panlong watchcolumns around the steps. Seven stories are built on the foundation, six stories deep and ten feet high. The three-story glass roof is located on the top of the mountain, and each floor has a hanging gallery for tourists to climb and overlook. The sculptures and paintings in all parts of the building are extremely gorgeous, which is a wonderful feat and a must in China. Sometimes there is a rumor that "there is a spring and autumn building in the credit shop, and it is half inserted into the sky". There is a memorial hall in front of the Spring and Autumn Building, a knife building and a seal building on both sides, and buildings such as East-West Profile Building and Hanging Sword Building in front of it, which can be described as a complete courtyard.
In the seventh year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (AD 1857), the Nian army passed by, and the gentry in Sheqi Town hid in the Spring and Autumn Building to fight back and were burned to death by the Nian army. It is said that because its walls and columns are thick, it is impossible to burn them with firewood. Later, someone suggested: "Burn the building in the spring and autumn, and soak the quilt in tung oil." In this way, Nianjun burned the building. The fire burned for seven days and seven nights, and fireworks could be seen in Nanyang Prefecture 90 miles away. In 2005, all walks of life in the county raised 1.7 million yuan to rebuild the bronze statue of Guan Gong in the Spring and Autumn Period on the site of the Spring and Autumn Building.
