On September 20, 1924, engineer John Gammeter submitted a patent for a plug-in bolt-fixed rubber lining (approved as No. 1,601,956 on October 5, 1926). The lining was manufactured by G00DRICH Company. From 1927 to 1936, a large number of documents reported the application of rubber linings in the mining industry and ceramics industry. At this time, it has been accepted by the market as a new product. It is recognized that rubber lining does not affect the grinding cost per ton of material. In 1936, DOMINION Rubber Company produced rubber linings for grinding machines at its Papincan factory, which were fixed with a layered structure.
