Rover is a brand car produced abroad. Nanqi is only an intermediary in the sale of Rover MG by SAIC. Because SAIC only obtained the patent right of Rover's technology, it simply used Rover's technology to manufacture MG. Therefore, after the return to SAIC, the relationship between Rover and MG was integrated. Moreover, because SAIC has obtained the technology patent right of Rover and the right to use the famous brand of MG, the manufactured MG is also called an autonomous vehicle.

At present, the right to use Rover's famous brand is in the hands of India's Tata Group. 1994, BMW 5 Series acquired Rover Group Company for 80,000 euros. In 2000, BMW V Series dismantled Rover Group and sold it. Among them, Rover's technology was sold to Nanqi, and Rover's trademark name was taken away by Ford's application for priority. Although BYD Group also wanted to acquire the right to use the Rover trademark at that time, and used the Rover trademark to set foot in foreign markets, after being seized by Ford, BYD Group made it clear that even if Ford sold it again, it would not necessarily buy it.

Ford often wants to grab SAIC because in 2000, Ford bought Land Rover Jaguar, which was originally owned by Rover. At that time, the value of Rover was still great, and the presentation of Land Rover Range Rover was also very eye-catching. If the two are used well, it can generate a lot of profits for Ford. But the problem is that Ford "has not taken care of both sides well." The sales of Land Rover Jaguar under the Ford Group generally lose money every year, and the sales of well-known brands under Ford have also decreased a lot. Finally, in 2008, Ford came to an end and took away famous brands such as Jaguar, Land Rover Range Rover, Volvo, Aston Martin, Mercury and their Mazda shares, leaving only Lincoln.

Now it seems that Ford has not been effectively improved since he left home, and even launched the American market. On the contrary, Tata Group, which took over Land Rover Jaguar, and Geely Group, which took over Volvo, are progressing smoothly. Ford CEO Han has said that he expects to sell Land Rover Range Rover and Volvo.
