Achievements in the Construction of Science College of Northwestern Polytechnical University

At present, there are more than 1 research projects in our hospital. In recent years, the following achievements have been made:

a second prize of national natural science;

one second prize and two third prizes for science and technology in Shaanxi province;

a third prize of national defense science and technology;

There are two first prizes and two second prizes for science and technology in colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province;

There are 53 academic papers in SCI, 35 in EI and 5 patents granted;

held 28 academic lectures and invited 7 foreign scholars to give lectures.

in the past two years, the institute has won 15 awards for various scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial levels; Eight authorized patents; Nearly 13 papers have been included in three major international indexes, and nearly 3 papers have been published in first-class and important academic journals at home and abroad. In particular, the number of papers included in SCI, the first of the three indexes, ranked second in the whole school in 23. The research group led by President Wei Bingbo has made gratifying achievements in the research of the project "Research on Deep Subcooling and Rapid Crystal Growth of Liquid Metals", and won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award (one of the four national awards) in 23, which has achieved a zero breakthrough in this award and laid a solid foundation for the Institute to achieve the goal of "becoming a leading science college in the west, well-known in China and influential in the world in 5-1 years".

Since the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", it has undertaken more than 15 scientific research projects, including nearly 15 scientific research projects such as the "863" and "973" high-tech plans, the National Natural Science Foundation, the National "921 Project", provincial and ministerial funds, and international research cooperation. Authorized more than 4 invention patents; More than 1,4 papers have been included in three major international indexes, and nearly 3, papers have been published in first-class and important academic journals at home and abroad. In particular, the number of papers included in SCI, the first of the three indexes, ranked first in the school in 25, and second in 24, 26, 27 and 28. The papers published by the space materials team on PRL were specially commented by Nature and Science, and were funded by the Innovation Research Group of the National Natural Science Foundation. In 27, they won the National "May 1 Labor Award and Medal". The paper published in Advanced Functional Materials by Professor Zhao Xiaopeng's intelligent materials team in 28 has an impact factor (IF) of 8.2, which is the highest academic paper published by our school so far. The article published by Professor Zhao Jianlin's optical information technology team in 28 is "Optics &; Photonics News is the first report of Chinese mainland scholars' research results.

scientific research has its own system and distinctive features. First, it has formed the characteristics of applied mathematics research combined with national defense needs, with research directions such as computational mechanics, computational materials science and complex fluid simulation, nonlinear stochastic dynamic system analysis, graphics and image processing, applied probability statistics, partial differential equation theory and application, and graph theory and game theory. Second, it has formed the characteristics of exploring the principles of natural science and conducting high-level basic research, with research directions such as "space material science", "intelligent material science", "material surface and interface physics" and "new technology of optical information acquisition and photoelectric hybrid processing". Third, it has formed the characteristics of basic application and engineering research of new materials in the field of "Three Navigation", with research directions such as structural/functional resin-based composites, high-performance engineering plastics and processing engineering, biomedical polymer materials, functional polymers, fine organic chemicals and environmental water treatment. These characteristics have laid a solid foundation for the college to realize the grand goal of "building a strong science" and the goal of building a high-level research-oriented science college.
