Shanghai Metro Line 7 is the ninth line of Shanghai rail transit system, passing through Baoshan, Putuo, Jing 'an, Xuhui and Pudong New Area.

The line was opened to traffic at some stations on February 5, 2009. Since then, Houtan Station, Beiyan Section and Qihua Road Station have been opened one after another.
