In fact, the principle is very simple, that is, adding an electric heating film behind the lens can keep the lens temperature of the rearview mirror at about 35-60 degrees when working. In this case, in rainy, foggy and snowy weather, the water vapor and snow particles on the lens can quickly evaporate and keep the field of vision. But don't count on it when it rains heavily.

Compared with the traditional rearview mirror, it has many advantages, such as wider field of vision, safer and so on, and will not limit the field of vision because of the angle and curvature of the lens. Moreover, although the traditional rearview mirror is not big, in fact, the wind resistance is not small, accounting for 2-3% of the wind resistance of the whole vehicle. The electronic rearview mirror can be smaller, and the wind resistance can naturally be more optimized.
Electronic rearview mirrors are also the future trend. With the continuous improvement of automatic driving level, electronic rearview mirror can be combined with intelligent driving system to provide corresponding driving safety data, which is completely unavailable in traditional rearview mirrors. Of course, there are shortcomings, high-tech things, in a word: old and expensive. The traditional rearview mirrors of Mercedes-Benz and BMW have been stolen, not to mention this high-tech product.
At present, our country does not support the use of electronic rearview mirrors, because the provisions stipulate that cars must be equipped with rearview mirrors, which means traditional rearview mirrors, and electronic rearview mirrors are equivalent to none. However, it is said that the relevant regulations have been revised, and cars with electronic rearview mirrors should be seen on the road in the near future.
