1. Cultivation of college students’ scientific and technological innovation capabilities has far-reaching social significance for enhancing the nation’s independent innovation capabilities. The existing evaluation standards and implementation methods for college students' scientific and technological innovation capabilities have played a good role in cultivating and improving college students' scientific and technological innovation awareness and abilities, but they still have certain shortcomings.
2. Establishing a scientific and reasonable evaluation system for college students' scientific and technological innovation capabilities by setting up directional evaluation factors is an inevitable requirement to promote the continuous development of college students' scientific and technological innovation activities in a standardized and orderly direction.
Relevant information:
All types of colleges and universities with full-time non-adult education that are officially registered before July 1 of the year when the finals of the competition are held. Students, undergraduates, master's students and doctoral students (excluding in-service graduate students) can apply for the competition.
The works applied for the competition must be the results of students’ extracurricular academic science and technology or social practice activities completed within two years before July 1 of the year of the final competition, and can be divided into individual works and collective works. If applying for an individual work, the applicant must be responsible for more than 60% of the research work of the applied work. The signature on the work appraisal certificate, patent certificate and related published works should be the first author. The collaborators must be students and no more than two people.
