About aluminum alloy online degassing equipment, how to improve the service life of graphite rotors

How to extend the service life of graphite rotors will be introduced in detail from the perspective of operation.

1. Preheat before use: Before the graphite rotor is immersed in the aluminum liquid, it should be preheated for 5 to 10 minutes at about 100mm above the liquid level to avoid the impact of rapid cooling on the material; the rotor must be passed through before immersing in the liquid. Gas; the air supply can be stopped only after the rotor is lifted out of the liquid level to prevent the air holes of the rotor nozzle from being blocked.

2. Isolate air: Pour nitrogen or argon into the purification chamber to ensure positive pressure inside the chamber and isolate external air to prevent oxidation of the graphite rotor.

3. Rotor immersion depth: The graphite rotor is immersed in the aluminum melt to a reasonable depth, so that the reinforced sleeve is exposed to about 80mm of the aluminum liquid level and immersed in about 60mm below the liquid level. This can effectively increase the rotor's resistance to oxidation loss and erosion.

4. The transmission system is stable: the graphite rotor and the transmission system are connected through connecting rods (tubes). The connecting rods are deformed under high temperature for a long time, or the relevant parts of the transmission equipment are loose, which will affect The centering of the rotor and the smooth operation of the rotor can easily cause the graphite rotor to break or be damaged due to collision. The argon or nitrogen gas must be pure: if the argon or nitrogen gas introduced into the aluminum melt is impure due to leaks in pipes, joints and other components, it will cause serious oxidation of the upper part of the rotor, and even several rotor nozzle holes in the lower part will also be oxidized. , which will greatly shorten the service life of the rotor.
