How to set up ASUS acoustic radar

Acoustic Radar III is a game sound assistant software pre-installed in the ROG game book. Allows you to personalize and fine-tune the software for a better personal experience. It can provide the best gaming experience, especially in games that pay attention to sound effects.

You can start Sonic Radar 3 manually by clicking Open in the start menu or the armory application bar.

Acoustic radar III mainly consists of three sub-pages:

● Outer layer: 8 presets for you to choose from. You can change the color of the selected item (radar /3D pointer/signal) and rename it, and the name will be synchronized to the preview page. The name can contain up to 20 characters.

● Size: You can change your selected item (radar /3D pointer/signal) from 10% to 100%.

● Radar transparency: You can change the transparency outside the radar index from 10% to 100%. You can change the transparency of the signal.

● Show strokes: Check this function to cut the radar circle into 12 equal parts (default), so that you can know the source position of sound more clearly.

● Preset: Restore the default settings.

Settings: Select a game that displays a small window. Change the parameters of advanced settings to personalize your radar, choose your own keyboard shortcuts, and change all types of display and audio settings.

● Games: Choose to open the game of Sonic Radar III. Almost every program installed on your computer can display a small radar window. Use the Update List button when you need to add the latest installed application to the list. If it is a white list, it will be checked automatically, but users can also check it themselves. When you delete a game from your computer, it will also disappear from the list.

You can use the hotkey switch to select the function of completely turning off the hotkey.

If you want to change the hotkey back to the default value, click Reset.

● Display: Set the number of radar blocks and the number of pointer pixels.

Anti-aliasing of 3D pointer: Defines the pixels of 3D pointer.

Block number: Select how many blocks you want the radar to cut. The more pieces you cut, the more accurate it will be. Can be cut into 4 to 16 pieces.

● Sound engine: set audio parameters.

Dynamic range (decibel): Select the range of decibels. If you only want to display the most important audio elements in the video game, please choose a lower value.

Release time: it is the length of time displayed on the radar after selecting a sound.

Sound enhancement time: You can choose to listen to only a certain frequency for a certain length of time.

● General: Display version information and language.

Version number: software version.

The default frequency of radar signal is 30Hz to 24KHz, which means that all sounds heard in the game will be displayed on the radar. If you want to hear a specific frequency range, you need to choose another preset range value.

1- low frequency (suitable for vehicles or explosions): 100 ~ 300 Hz.

2- intermediate frequency (suitable for artillery fire): 500 ~ 8000 Hz

3- High frequency (for footsteps): 2000 Hz.
