How to deal with the occasional idling of automobile ignition motor

There is something wrong with the electromagnetic switch. Common faults include short circuit of pull-in coil and holding coil, open circuit and grounding, burning of contact plate and contact, etc. Whether the coil is open or grounded can be checked by measuring the resistance with an ohmmeter. Solution to occasional idling of automobile ignition motor: 1. The main reason for the idling of the starting motor is that the one-way movable wheel slips. If the engine can still run at idle speed, the gap between the starter driving gear and the thrust washer may be improperly adjusted, or the switch contact is too early. As long as the adjustment can eliminate the fault. 2. The flywheel gear ring may also be partially damaged. When the engine driving gear just touches the damaged gear ring, it can't drive the crankshaft to rotate. After two kinds of faults, there is a collision sound when the start switch is turned on. The damaged flywheel gear ring should be replaced or the old gear ring should be pressed out and used on the other side. Under normal circumstances, due to the slip of the one-way movable wheel, there is no knocking sound when the starter is idling. 3. Check whether the one-way wheel slips. Remove the starter, tighten the armature, and then turn the one-way wheel counterclockwise. If it can't move, turn it clockwise, which is good. If it can rotate in both directions, it won't work. You need a new one. 4. For starters with inertial transmission device, the reason of idle failure is that the track groove of gear movement is not clean, which hinders the sliding of driving gear. If the starter is disassembled for inspection and cleaning, the fault can be eliminated.
