At present, there are more than 5 million 4G base stations in China, accounting for 70% of the world. It is the only country in the world that popularizes 4G. If millimeter wave is used, it will be the largest mobile communication company in the world: China Mobile. It also has no money to achieve universal coverage.
The United States has developed rapidly because of the military's centimeter-wave radar. For example, the long-term Apache helicopter gunship uses the centimeter wave radar. As a result, the centimeter wave frequency was basically occupied by the military, so at the international communication conference, they mainly promoted millimeter wave 5G.
Because there is no military in China, and the whole people want to use 5G, the centimeter wave is the main push. At present, all the base stations installed in China are centimeter wave base stations.
So even if Apple 12 supports millimeter wave, it is absolutely impossible to use it in China.
Then someone asked, after I bought it for a while, can China use millimeter waves instead? The answer is: almost impossible! After China promoted Limibo 5G, most of China's patents were aimed at Limibo. So it makes the most money. And millimeter wave we only broke through 1? Two years, few patents.
