What is the function of electrocatalytic oxidation? What is the principle of action?

Electrocatalytic oxidation technology is to directly degrade organic pollutants through electrode reaction under the action of external electric field, or to generate a large number of free radicals with strong oxidation by using the catalytic activity of electrodes or catalytic materials. Electrocatalytic oxidation technology is considered as the most promising method because of its outstanding oxidation ability, low requirements for reaction conditions and difficulty in causing secondary pollution.
