If the patent is granted on 20 16 1 day in the 4th to 5th year, and the request for fee reduction has been approved by the Patent Office, the annual fee will be automatically reduced from the following year to the 6th year, and there is no need to go through the formalities for fee reduction request again; 3. If the patent is in the sixth year from the year authorized on 20 16 1 day, the annual fee for the fourth to sixth years shall be paid in full. 1. How to pay the application fee and other fees can be paid directly to the toll office of the Patent Office or the agency of the Patent Office, or remitted by bank or post office. If supplementary information is needed to pay the patent fee through the bank, it should be provided by fax or e-mail: a copy of the bank remittance slip, the remittance date, the application number (or patent number) used for payment, the name and detailed amount of each fee, the name of the remitter, the detailed address of the payer and the postal code. If supplementary information is needed to pay patent fees through the post office, information such as remittance date, application number (or patent number) for payment, name and detailed amount of each fee, bill number, merchant customer number, remitter's name (name) and detailed address zip code should be provided in fax or e-mail. If the payment information is supplemented by fax or e-mail, the date when the Patent Office receives the correct information shall be the payment date. If the supplementary information is overdue or does not meet the requirements, resulting in the remittance being returned or temporarily stored, it shall be regarded as unpaid.
