The protection period of the design patent is 10 year.

How to draw and shoot design pictures and photos;

To apply for a patent for design, it is necessary to submit pictures or photographs of different sides or different states for each design product, so as to clearly and completely represent the object to be protected. In general, there should be six views, namely, front view, bottom view, left view, right view, top view and back view, and if necessary, there should be sectional view, sectional view, service status reference view and three-dimensional view.

The drawing of pictures shall meet the following requirements:

A. the picture size shall not be less than 3x8cm or greater than 15x22cm.

E. It is best to draw several views on a piece of paper. If you can't draw it, you can also draw it on a few sheets of paper. When there are multiple drawings, they should be numbered in sequence. All directional maps and other various types of maps should be drawn according to the projection relationship, and the name of the view should be indicated.

F. For an application for a patent for design requesting color protection, the submitted color pictures shall be drawn in advertising colors. Color photos should be used for products with complex colors and patterns, such as carpets.

G. When the product shape is complex, in addition to drawing views, photos reflecting the three-dimensional shape of the product should also be submitted.

Photography shall meet the following requirements:

A photos should have clear images and moderate contrast, and reflect the applied design completely and clearly. The size requirements are the same as in the picture.

B there shall be no foil or foil in the photo except the products to be protected. The background should be treated as white or gray-black according to the light-dark relationship of the product. The background in color photos should be contrasted with the product to distinguish the outline of the product.

C photos shall not be folded and pasted in the form of design drawings or photos according to the view relationship. Leave at least 2.5cm blank on the left and top of the drawing, and1.5cm blank on the right and bottom. Photos should be printed in duplicate.
