The invention relates to a method for producing hyaluronic acid by microbial fermentation, which comprises the following steps: (1) shaking bottle seed liquid, (2) seed tank seed liquid, (3) fermentation culture to obtain fermentation liquid, and further comprises the following steps: (4) extraction and purification of fermentation liquid: the fermentation liquid is precipitated by ethanol, dissolved again to obtain a solution, filtered and clarified by a secondary plate frame, and filtered for three times. And (5) drying and crushing: dehydrating all the precipitates obtained in the above steps with anhydrous ethanol, emulsifying and crushing with an emulsion pump to obtain powdery precipitates, dehydrating with anhydrous ethanol, and vacuum drying at 50-60 DEG C to obtain hyaluronic acid. According to the invention, a production strain with large capsule, high hyaluronic acid yield and no hyaluronidase is screened by using the compound mutagenesis technology, and the strain has strong adaptability to fermentation raw materials, the yield of hyaluronic acid products can reach 6-7g/L, the recovery rate is as high as 92%, and the fermentation time is only 24-26 hours, thus effectively saving energy consumption.
