Who are the suppliers of steam explosion pretreatment equipment?

The latest technical progress of steam blasting equipment is ICSE mode. Instant Ejection Steam Blasting (ICSE) is a technology that uses the principle of steam injection to pretreat biomass. Its technical essence is that steam molecules infiltrated into plant tissues are released instantly, so that the internal energy of steam can be converted into mechanical energy, which acts on the cell layer of biomass tissue and decomposes raw materials according to the purpose with less energy. Because it not only avoids the secondary pollution of chemical treatment, but also solves the problem of low efficiency of biological treatment at present, it is the most promising pretreatment technology in the field of biomass conversion. The main equipment suppliers are Zheng Qing Ecological Science and Technology (Suzhou Environmental Research Institute, Tsinghua) and Zhengdao Qibao Industrial Co., Ltd., which mainly provide equipment of various production levels in four major fields: papermaking and pulping, food and drug processing, textile fiber and solid waste treatment.

In 1990s, China introduced thermal spraying technology (sometimes called valve spraying), which usually means installing a quick release valve at the bottom of the container containing materials. When this valve is opened, the material is put into the atmospheric pressure environment in seconds, and there is no short-term explosion noise (Figure 2 is the schematic diagram of the thermal spraying device). Due to the limitation of valve deflation cross-sectional area, the deflation process time of this technology can be as long as tens of seconds in general production equipment, which has completely deviated from the concept of blasting and brought a series of problems. It mainly includes the problems of insufficient blasting power density, inconsistent degree of material pretreatment, unrealistic conversion of thermal expansion work, high material blocking/entrainment/discharge temperature and so on. Others in Chen Hongzhang and China have announced about 30 patents for this technology.

Screw extrusion technology usually refers to a device that continuously feeds materials into a pressure chamber through a screw, and then releases the materials from the pressure chamber by a screw device. This technology completes the sealing of high-pressure steam by forming a sealing plug between the screw and the pipe wall (Figure 3 is the schematic diagram of the screw extrusion expansion device). Although this technology also uses high temperature and high pressure steam to physically and chemically treat the material, there is no short explosion when the material is sent to atmospheric pressure. Because this technology has no blasting essence, it consumes a lot of electricity in practical application but has little effect. At present, this principle has obtained two patents from Canadian companies. At present, the above two technologies have been applied in domestic industry for a period of time, but they have not been popularized because of their unsatisfactory effects and technologies.

But the root cause of these problems is that the function of "explosion" and the conversion of heat and work are not realized, and only the cooking effect of steam is used, which hinders the research and application of real steam explosion technology to some extent.

Through the analysis of the fatal defects of the previous process principle, it is pointed out that this technology can only be endowed with vitality on the premise of real explosion. Through years of research and practice, ICSE technology has been widely recognized by industry experts and academicians for its technical characteristics of high pressure, short time, low energy consumption and stable amplification. It is considered that this kind of "technology and equipment" is a breakthrough of traditional "steam explosion" technology and an international problem of "anti-biodegradation of biomass"
