Mainly engaged in cutting theory of metal and nonmetal materials, cutting tool technology, preparation and precision forming technology of powder metallurgy materials, computer simulation of metal processing and forming process, etc. He has successively presided over 16 projects such as National Natural Science Foundation, National Military Products Supporting, National Ninth Five-Year Plan Science and Technology Key Research Project, Key Teachers and Key Research Project of Ministry of Education, Guangdong Tenth Five-Year Plan Project, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation Research Group Project, and Guangdong "Thousand Hundred Projects" provincial scientific research project. 25 national and provincial scientific research projects participated in the research. Two achievements such as "High-strength and Wear-resistant Copper Alloy and Zinc Alloy Engineering Parts" and "Preparation, Forming and Application of High-performance Steel-based Powder Metallurgy Materials (including Composite Materials)" passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements organized by Guangdong Science and Technology Department. As the main person (ranked second), the scientific research achievement "Preparation, Forming and Application of High Performance Steel-based Powder Metallurgy Materials (including Composite Materials)" won the first prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress in 2002; "High-performance iron-based powder metallurgy spare parts material and its key production process" won the first prize of Guangzhou Science and Technology Progress in 2002; "Special Parts and Materials for High Performance Iron-based Powder Metallurgy and Its Key Production Technology" won the second prize of 200 1 China University for Scientific and Technological Progress.
