What is the quality of memory?

There are five factors that determine the quality of memory:

1. Interest is the premise of memory. Anything that can arouse people's interest is easy to remember and enduring; What people are bored with, what they are bored with, and what they hate are not easy to stay in memory. Interest will form an exciting center in the cerebral cortex, which is beneficial to memory. In this case, the brain will be in a positive working state, not only will it not feel that memory is a burden, but it will be in a pleasure. For those things that are not interested, there is no mind to remember, let alone firmly remember. Interest can stimulate people's thirst for knowledge and improve memory efficiency. Interest can also tap students' inner potential and stimulate great memory potential.

2. Attention is the key to memory. Attention activities are often accompanied by memory. When something attracts people's attention, the dominant excitation center is established in the corresponding area of the cerebral cortex, and the information leaves traces in the cerebral cortex to obtain a perfect and clear impression, that is, memory. Without enough attention, it is impossible to have a good memory. In fact, the real mnemonic technique is "attention technique", and some people regard attention as an eternal memory rule.

3. Observation is the cornerstone of memory. Memory is closely related to observation. No observation, no memory. People who are good at observing are also good at remembering. Because observation is to print the characteristics of things in your mind, and of course it is easy to remember. The deeper the impression, the stronger the memory. If the initial impression is wrong, then the memory must be wrong; If the initial observation is similar to the past, it is impossible to produce new memories, and it is even more impossible to use the differences between the two memories to produce new associative memories.

4. Imagination is the magic of memory. Memory is imagination, or imagination is memory. If a person's imagination is very active, it is hard for him not to have a strong memory. A good memory is often associated with a strong imagination. In memory, we often encounter such a situation: because what we want to remember is of little practical significance to ourselves and we are not interested in understanding it, we can only rely on rote memorization at this time. Imagination can not only fully mobilize the knowledge we remember, but also integrate and synthesize it, resulting in new thinking activities, and can also make the original knowledge remember more firmly in turn.

5. Understanding is a shortcut to memory. Understanding is the basis of memory. Only what is understood can be firmly and permanently remembered. It's not easy to learn by rote. For important content, if we can combine understanding with reciting, the memory effect will be better. If you can understand, your memory will last. Understanding a thing seems to be a long road in memory, but it is actually the fastest shortcut to cultivate memory. Thinking is the core of understanding memory, and only thinking can achieve understanding.

Ways to improve memory:

This kind of training is more, such as learning speed reading memory, coding memory and mind mapping memory that I am familiar with. Speed reading memory is an important memory and understanding memory after speed reading; Coded memory is a kind of personalized memory that links coded information with appropriate clues. Mind mapping memory is a kind of thinking memory that integrates the contents that need to be remembered into keywords. The above three kinds of memories are relatively easy for individuals to use, but they all need systematic training. You can refer to the "Eagle Special Speed Reading Memory Training" software, which has specific explanations and training exercises for the above three trainings.
