China National Intellectual Property Administration PCT application, what does PCT mean?

PCT: Patent Cooperation Treaty, signed on 1970 and coming into force on 1978. China joined the PCT on 1 99465438+1October1and became a full member of the PCT. At the same time, China Patent Office has also become the PCT International Acceptance Bureau, the International Procuratorate Bureau and the International Preliminary Trial Bureau.

PCT application is divided into two stages: PCT international stage and PCT domestic stage.

1. International stage: (1) Accepting patent applications and conducting formal examination of patents; (2) International search; (3) International preliminary examination.

2. Domestic stage: The relevant PCT member countries will review and decide whether the PCT patent application can obtain the patent of that country.
