The full name of Tsinghua Yao Class is Tsinghua Xuetang Computer Science Experimental Class, which is an experimental class under the Institute of Interdisciplinary Information at Tsinghua University. Academician Yao Qizhi is the winner of the Turing Award in 2000 and a world-renowned computer science expert. In 2004, he left Princeton University and became a professor of computer science at Tsinghua University. He successively founded the Tsinghua Xuetang Computer Science Experimental Class and the Tsinghua Xuetang Artificial Intelligence Class (Smart Class). At the end of 2016, he gave up his foreign nationality and became an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
