Supercapacitor life

Is the super capacitor low in withstand voltage? Usually only 2.5V? The allowable surge voltage is 2.7V. Therefore, for a single supercapacitor, the maximum output voltage of the charger cannot exceed 2.7V. As long as the working voltage of the supercapacitor is within the safe voltage, the service life of the supercapacitor is very long, and the number of cyclic charging and discharging can reach100-500,000 times.

It is precisely because of the low working voltage of supercapacitors that several supercapacitors are often connected in series to improve the working voltage. Due to the imbalance of supercapacitors, the charging voltage of any supercapacitor used in series should not be higher than 2.5V. The solution is to use a battery equalizer.

The national patent technology I developed perfectly solved this problem, with the characteristics of small volume, low comprehensive cost, extremely low power consumption and good balance effect.

The national patent number is 20112055582.1. For more information, please refer to my article "Application Example of High Efficiency Battery Equalizer in Supercapacitor Bank" at:/view/0fc1ba72f46527d3240ce030.html.
