The 15th National Quality Award

On November 4, 2015, FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. Wuxi Diesel Engine Plant won the 15th National Quality Award. For the first time, this year's National Quality Award has introduced dual reviewers from the American Quality Award and the European Quality Award, which is a step towards connecting the National Quality Award with international standards and moving towards internationalization. This year, 18 provincial, autonomous, and municipal organizations applied for the National Quality Award, covering 26 major industry categories of the national economy. For the first time, the applying companies involved the financial industry, software information industry, and agriculture and animal husbandry. The National Quality Award was implemented by the China Quality Association in 2001 to encourage and guide Chinese enterprises to implement excellent performance models, improve product service quality and business development quality, and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and even the country. In the past fifteen years, a total of 123 organizations across the country have received this lofty honor in the field of quality in my country.

Special Prize of China Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award

Gold Medal at the National Invention Exhibition

The 18th National Invention Exhibition with the theme of "Innovative Development, Improving Capabilities, Strengthening Cooperation, and Serving the Economy" was recently held at the Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 1,700 inventions across the country participated in the exhibition. The "Research and Development and Industrialization Project of High-power National III Diesel Engine" selected by Xichai won the gold medal in one fell swoop due to its outstanding independence, technology and economy.

The high-power National III diesel engines exhibited by Xichai this time include two types: L and N. The 6DL series has a power range of 191 to 279kW, and the 6DN series has a power range of 272 to 338kW. Xichai's high-power National III diesel engine adopts internationally advanced development processes, independently completes the design of the in-engine purification combustion system without exhaust gas recirculation, and independently carries out the function definition, overall design and performance matching of the orbital system. We were the first in China to complete the performance development of National III engines, pioneered the methods and processes for engine bench calibration and vehicle three-high (high heat, high cold, and plateau) calibration, established a calibration database suitable for China's national conditions, and formed a complete electronic control system. Diesel engine development system, created an EOL system with Xichai characteristics, and successfully realized the industrialization of National III diesel engines.

Xichai's high-power National III diesel engine has 10 domestic patents, filling the gap in domestic four-valve electronically controlled single-track National III diesel engines. Xichai's high-power National III diesel engine is mainly equipped with FAW Jiefang J5 and J6 "Aowei" heavy-duty trucks. It is the core power in the field of China's heavy-duty vehicle diesel engines and is also a sharp weapon for FAW Jiefang to seize the heavy truck market. Xichai's high-power National III diesel engines are also widely used in buses and long-distance buses in large and medium-sized cities such as Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing. This series of diesel engines has gained a reputation for its strong power, fuel saving, environmental protection, and reliable performance. It is widely recognized by the majority of users and the market prospect is very broad.

Second Prize for National Science and Technology Progress Award

At the National Science and Technology Award Conference held on January 8, 2007, the list of the 2007 National Science and Technology Progress Award was announced. Xichai won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award for its "Independent Development of FAW Jiefang's Fifth-Generation Aowei Heavy-Duty Series Commercial Vehicles and Its Heavy-Duty Diesel Engine" project.

National Skills Master Studio

On March 5, 2013, Zhang Jianyu Skills Master Studio, licensed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, opened in Wuxi, FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. The processing workshop of the diesel engine factory was officially launched. Wuxi's first national-level skills master studio has settled in Xichai, marking another fruitful result of Xichai's implementation of the talent strategy and the strengthening of the construction of a high-skilled talent team.
