Reading list for undergraduates majoring in history in general colleges and universities
Explanation
The purpose of listing this book is to provide a reading list for college students majoring in history in general colleges and universities. The gateway to reading, in order to consolidate their basic knowledge, expand their horizons, and cultivate their innovative ability through reading. Therefore, we strive to be systematic, basic, cutting-edge and operable when listing. For the selected books, we first consider the completeness of history itself, and then select as many representative works as possible on this basis. In principle, textbooks and reference books are not recommended except in rare cases. For some authoritative tomes, such as "General History of China" edited by Fan Wenlan and Cai Meibiao, "Manuscripts of Chinese History" edited by Guo Moruo and Lin Ganquan, "General History of Chinese Thought" edited by Hou Wailu, and "General History of China" edited by Bai Shouyi ", "History of the Republic of China" edited by Li Xin and others, and the "Cambridge History of China" and "Cambridge World History" series edited by Fairbank, are not recommended for the time being because the volumes are too large. Due to the large number of Chinese and foreign historical materials, this bibliography recommends no other materials except "Reference Materials on General History of China" edited by Jian Bozan and Zheng Tianting. Students of each school can choose according to their own interests or under the guidance of teachers. Read selectively below. It should be pointed out in particular that this catalog only has guiding significance for students majoring in history in ordinary colleges and universities. Teachers of each school can add or delete it according to the characteristics of their own region and school. In addition, this bibliography is based on the "Basic Reading Bibliography for Undergraduate Students Majoring in History in General Universities" listed by Fudan University and Wuhan University, and was jointly completed by some teachers from the History Department of Renmin University of China.
