Scientific research achievements of Tsinghua University Institute of Microelectronics

THU RSA- 1024 successfully developed the second-generation resident ID card special chip, which has been widely used in China.

The achievements of this project fully reflect that Industry-University-Research has cultivated tens of billions of industrial chains and markets including chip manufacturing, module packaging, business card printing and authentication, reader/writer, application system, etc. by promoting the industrialization of independent innovation achievements, which has created huge economic and social benefits and won the second prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress in 2004.

The domestic IC card special chip of public telephone won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress.

With the industrialization efforts of Datang Microelectronics Company, the domestic ic card for public telephones developed by Tsinghua University Microelectronics Research Institute has formed large-scale production and supply capacity in domestic integrated circuit enterprises, and it is the largest domestic IC calling card approved by China Telecom and applied in batches in China.

The key technology of digital signal processing algorithm chip design won the second prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award.

The modular power chip THM256, which represents the development direction of modern cryptography, has been successfully developed. Using 0.8 micron technology, the encryption and decryption speed of RSA system reaches 1 17Kbpi at 90MHz, which reaches the international advanced level and provides a valuable technical source for information security in China. The technical achievement "Key Technology of Digital Signal Processing Algorithm Chip Design" won the second prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award 200 1.

1989, the first VLSI process development line of 1 micron was built in China, and the Chinese character ROM of 1Mb was successfully designed and developed for the first time in China, with the integration reaching 1.06 million transistors, which indicates that the domestic microelectronics technology has reached a new level of 1 micron. The infrared rapid heat treatment system and ultra-high vacuum CVD epitaxial system for VLSI have been successfully developed, and won patents from China and the United States, and won the second prize of national invention, which has been widely used in domestic enterprises and scientific research institutes.

The project "R&D and Industrialization of Germanium-Silicon High Performance Microwave Devices and Microwave Integrated Circuits" passed the acceptance.
