Answering skills in civil servant recruitment interview

First, the thinking skills of civil servant recruitment interview

Thinking is the reflection of human brain's indirect generalization of objective things. In other words, thinking is a process in which the human brain analyzes, synthesizes, judges and infers external objective things. Civil servant recruitment interview is inseparable from thinking. The higher the thinking level of the interviewer, the stronger the ability of summarizing and analyzing, and the better the interview results. However, judging from the interview practice, some interviewers are confused in thinking, not good at analyzing questions and unclear in answering questions, because they have not mastered their thinking skills well. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary for the interviewer to master the thinking skills of the interview.

(A) abstract thinking

Abstract thinking is an advanced form of thinking. It takes abstract concepts, judgment and reasoning as the basic form of thinking, and analysis, synthesis, comparison, induction and generalization as the basic process of thinking. Abstract thinking can reveal the relationship between the essential characteristics and regularity of things. During the interview, the interviewer should analyze the questions raised by the examiner and then answer them. Undoubtedly, we should use the method of abstract thinking. For example:

Q: What are the advantages of applying for civil servants?

A: I think I have certain advantages in applying for civil service. For four years in college, I served as the president of the student union. Under the leadership of the school party Committee and the guidance of teachers, I have done a lot of work to serve my classmates. In the process of serving students, I not only exercised my eloquence, but also improved my ability to analyze and solve problems, and accumulated some experience in serving the people. In my opinion, good eloquence, strong ability to analyze and solve problems and a strong sense of serving the people are the basic conditions that civil servants should have. If I can enter the civil service, I will give full play to these existing advantages, and learn from leaders and old comrades with an open mind, then I will certainly do a good job in civil service.

It is not difficult to see that the interviewer used the method of abstract thinking when answering the examiner's questions. In this speech, he used concepts, judgments and reasoning to properly answer the questions raised by the examiner, with rigorous thinking and strong persuasiveness.

(B) divergent thinking

Divergent thinking is also called radial thinking, multi-channel thinking and three-dimensional thinking. Refers to the way of thinking from one point and thinking in all directions. This is an open way of thinking, and we can find a variety of solutions to problems or seek diversified answers. For example:

Q: At present, the income of staff in some state administrative organs is slightly lower than that of staff at the same level in some enterprises. What do you think of this problem?

A: I think this is unreasonable. Since people at the same level should get the same salary, only in this way can we conform to the socialist distribution principle and arouse everyone's enthusiasm. People at the same level have high or low wages, which will certainly affect the enthusiasm of another person. I think the labor and personnel department in charge of wages should pay attention to this problem and start to solve it.

B: Facing the income difference, it's really easy for people to feel psychologically unbalanced. Why is there a difference in the income of the same position? But I think we should understand this problem from the following angles.

1. The salary sources of administrative organs and enterprises are different. The salaries of the staff of administrative organs are paid entirely by the state, and enterprises pay their salaries with their own production income. Therefore, the more advanced their management, the greater the profits they create and the higher their wages. It is precisely because of the different sources of salary distribution between administrative personnel and enterprise personnel that the salary difference of personnel at the same level is caused.

2. The risks taken by the personnel of administrative organs and enterprises are different. Although the salary of the staff of the administrative organ is not as good as that of the staff of the same level in the enterprise, it can be said that it is "guaranteed by drought and flood" and will not be affected under any circumstances, but the staff of the enterprise is different. If their enterprises do not operate well, their economic income will be affected immediately, and if their enterprises close down, they may still lose their jobs. Once they lose their jobs, their income will be much lower than that of administrative staff. Therefore, when the economic situation of the enterprise is relatively good, their income is a little higher than that of the staff at the same level in the administrative organs, which is completely justified and understandable.

3, the level of income is not entirely the standard to evaluate a person's contribution, the key is to do your own work, as long as you do your own work, everyone in the society will get the corresponding return from society. On the contrary, if you find yourself out of harmony, your psychology will be unbalanced and even affect your work, then you will be eliminated by society.

Two interviewers gave different answers to the same question. A only explains the irrationality of the wage difference, and the limitations of his thinking are obvious. B first explain the reasons for this difference from two angles, and then explain the correct attitude to this problem from another angle. Obviously, it uses divergent thinking method, so its answer attitude is correct. Obviously, the method of divergent thinking is used, so the answer to the question is comprehensive and specific. It is both coherent and persuasive. Thus, in the interview, it is entirely possible to get good interview results by using divergent thinking to answer the questions raised by the examiner.

(C) reverse thinking

The so-called reverse thinking refers to the method of asking questions, thinking and solving problems from the opposite side. For example, when British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher visited China for the first time and held talks with Deng Xiaoping, she suggested that the "three treaties" were valid and that the China government should abide by them to ensure the prosperity of Hong Kong. Actually, I just don't want to give Hong Kong back to China. After listening to his words, Deng Xiaoping immediately replied: "If China does not recover Hong Kong in 1997, that is, after the 48th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), no China leader or government can account to the people of China or even to the people of the world. If we don't take it back, it means that the China government is the late Qing government and the leader of China is Li Hongzhang! We have been waiting for 33 years ... If 15 years later, the people have no reason to trust us. Any government should leave the scene and automatically withdraw from the historical stage. There is no other choice. " Comrade Deng Xiaoping used reverse thinking in this speech. He did not talk about the necessity of recovering Hong Kong's sovereignty from the front, but from the opposite side. If Hong Kong does not take it back, it is the incompetence of the leaders and the government, and they should bear the corresponding consequences. These words of his show the solemn stand and firm determination of himself and the China government to recover Hong Kong's territorial sovereignty, which makes Mrs. Thatcher, the "Iron Lady", very depressed.

The application of reverse thinking in interview can achieve unique, unexpected and reasonable results. For example:

Q: Now everyone thinks that interpersonal relationship is more important, even in administrative organs. What's your opinion?

A: Modern interpersonal relationship is an important factor in doing a good job and realizing self-worth. If the interpersonal relationship is not good, it is difficult to get the support of others at work; It is impossible to do a good job without the support of others; In addition, if the interpersonal relationship is not good, your mood will certainly not be good; Being in a bad mood will bring you trouble, which is not conducive to your growth. Therefore, improving interpersonal relationships is not only conducive to work, but also to personal growth. So I must be strict with myself, be lenient with others, and establish normal interpersonal relationships with leaders, colleagues and the masses.

The interviewer used the method of reverse thinking to analyze the harm of bad interpersonal relationships, that is, bad interpersonal relationships are not conducive to work and their own growth. His analysis is both novel and convincing.

(D) Dialectical thinking

Dialectical thinking, also known as dihedral thinking method, refers to the method of thinking from two opposing aspects. "Two-faced God" is a borrowed name. In ancient Roman mythology, a goalkeeper had two completely opposite faces, so he was called a double-faced god. The thinking method of double-faced god is actually the thinking method of splitting into two. It is the embodiment and concrete application of materialist dialectics in thinking about the universal law of the unity of opposites in the objective world. The thinking method of double-faced gods holds that there are contradictions inside things, and these two contradictory aspects are both opposite and unified. For example, a person has both advantages and disadvantages; In other words, we should not only see the front of things, but also see the back of things. Only in this way can we improve our cognitive ability and fully understand objective things. Two-sided thinking also plays a very important role in the interview. For example:

Q: Do you consider yourself an all-round talent without shortcomings?

A: As the saying goes, "No one is perfect", which is absolutely true. I am not a generalist. I have mastered certain professional knowledge only through seven years of university study and postgraduate education. At the same time, because of my innovative spirit, I developed three new products, two of which were patented. This may be my strong point, but it is still far from old comrades. In particular, I still have some shortcomings, such as not considering and accepting other people's opinions and being too confident in the process of developing products. Therefore, in our future work, we must correct these shortcomings and learn from other comrades with an open mind.

The interviewer uses a double-sided thinking method when answering questions. He first explained the advantages of his innovative spirit, and then pointed out his shortcomings, that is, he was too confident and did not accept other people's opinions.

In the interview, using the thinking method of double-faced god can reveal the essence or characteristics of things from both positive and negative aspects, so it can give people an objective and true feeling, be easily accepted and achieve good results.

Second, grasp the interview form of "leaderless group discussion"

(A) there is no significance of leading group discussion.

Leader-less group discussion is a commonly used evaluation technique in talent evaluation center technology, which uses scenario simulation to interview candidates collectively. Evaluators either don't assign candidates a special role (leaderless group discussion with uncertain roles) or just assign each candidate an equal role (leaderless group discussion with clear roles), but they don't specify who is the leader or where each candidate should sit. Instead, they let all candidates arrange and organize themselves. Evaluators evaluate candidates only by arranging their activities and observing their performance. This is a leaderless group discussion.

(B) "no leading group discussion" interview assessment objectives

"leaderless group discussion" mainly tests the comprehensive ability of candidates. It includes not only the ability to understand and apply laws, regulations and policies, but also the ability to understand the topics to be discussed, the ability to write the outline of the speech, the ability to think logically, the ability to persuade the language, the ability to adapt to changes, and the ability to organize and coordinate. By giving a group of candidates a job-related question, let them discuss it for a certain period of time, so as to test their abilities and qualities in organization and coordination, oral expression, debate, persuasion, emotional stability, interpersonal skills, nonverbal communication skills (such as facial expression, body posture, intonation, speech speed and gestures, etc.). ) Meet the employment requirements of the position to be hired, confident, proactive, responsible and flexible.

(C) interview structure without leading group discussion

The discussion process of leaderless group discussion is generally divided into three stages: in the first stage, candidates read the materials, understand the test questions, think independently, and list the outline of their speeches, which is generally about 5 minutes; In the second stage, candidates take turns to explain their views; 3 minutes per person; In the third stage, the candidates have a cross-debate, continue to clarify their own views, or put forward different opinions on others' views, and finally reach a group agreement, about 20 minutes.

(D) "no leading group discussion" interview procedures

1. Group in advance before discussion. Generally, there are 5 to 9 people in each discussion group, and odd numbers are appropriate;

2. The examination room generally adopts a round-table conference room, and the interviewers' seats are located on the four sides of the examination room (or concentrated on one side for easy observation);

3. After the candidates are seated, the invigilator will give each candidate a few sheets of white paper for drafting the discussion outline;

4. The examiner explains to the candidates the requirements (discipline) for discussion without leading group, and reads out the discussion questions;

5. Give candidates 5 ~ 10 minutes to prepare (summarize the discussion speech);

6. The examiner announced the beginning of the discussion, and everyone expounded their views in the order of test numbers (5 minutes), and then began to discuss freely after speaking in turn;

7. The interviewer only observes each candidate and scores according to the scoring standard, and is not allowed to participate in the discussion or induce in any form.

8. The discussion without a leading group usually lasts 40 to 60 minutes. According to the discussion, after the examiner announced the end of the discussion, he withdrew the outline of the candidate's discussion speech and collected the examiner's scoring record, and the candidate left.

9. The scorekeeper removes a highest score and a lowest score according to the singing competition method, then obtains the average score, calculates the final score, and the examiner signs the report card.

(E) "no leading group discussion" interview questions

1, open question

Open-ended questions can have multiple answers. It mainly examines whether the candidates' thinking questions are comprehensive, targeted, clear-headed, and whether they have new views and opinions. For example, what qualities do you think civil servants should have?

2. Dilemma test questions

The dilemma is to let candidates choose one of the two answers with their own advantages and disadvantages. It mainly examines candidates' analytical ability, language expression ability and persuasiveness. For example, do you think excellent talents are based on morality or ability? For candidates, such questions are both easy to understand and can arouse full debate.

3. Multiple choice problem

Multiple-choice questions are to let candidates choose several effective answers from a variety of alternative answers or rank the importance of alternative answers. This paper mainly examines the ability of candidates to analyze problems and grasp the essence of problems. You are sailing somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean on a scientific research ship. The research ship suddenly hit the rocks and sank immediately. The captain ordered the whole team to board the rubber life raft at once. It is estimated that the nearest land to your accident site is due southeast 1000 nautical mile. There are 15 items on the life raft. In addition to these items, some comrades have some cigarettes, matches and gas lighters.

Question: Now the captain asks each of you to arrange the spare 15 items on the life raft in order of importance, putting the most important item first and the second important item second until 15 items. Please discuss it together and work out a unified plan within 25 minutes.

Attachments: Items used for sorting.

Compass, razor, mirror, drinking water, mosquito net, engine oil, lifebuoy (one box), compressed biscuits (one box), small radio (one set), nautical chart (one set), Erguotou (one box), chocolate (two kilograms), fishing tools (one set), 15-foot string, etc.

List the answers to the interview questions

Example 1: Some people say that life is like water. Please talk about your feelings according to your personal reality.

Answer: water has a very profound meaning: ① water is soft and has no fixed shape, so it can adapt to all environments and adjust itself appropriately according to the strength of the other party. (2) Water always flows downwards, symbolizing a spirit of modesty. At the same time, this downward flow is always accumulating strength, and finally all the rivers flow into the sea. (3) Water will always be weak, but this is only the appearance. Even under the calm water surface, there is huge energy lurking. The sea formed by water is so vast and has great energy. Because its position is always lower than others, it can accommodate human sludge and muddy water, but it has contributed endless treasures to mankind. But the sea is pregnant with great energy, and it can destroy all obstacles that hinder it with surging waves. ⑥ Water, according to modern science, it is difficult to separate water molecules, and they can keep their basic chemical forms everywhere. That is, no matter how the water adapts to the environment, it always keeps its true color and comes out of the sludge without being polluted. Keep its purity.

Example 2: If you are a department leader, you have made a reward and punishment plan, which was passed by the leader and the general meeting, but when you announced it, several colleagues who have a good relationship with you opposed what you should do.

At work, it is normal for colleagues to have different opinions. Faced with such a situation, first of all, I should listen to their opinions with an open mind and deal with them according to the specific situation.

1, reflection (caution)

If there is a problem with this plan, I will deal with it according to their opinions. If there are only some details in the plan, I will modify the plan and improve the reward and punishment plan. If there are serious problems in the plan, I will, with the assistance of my colleagues, or propose a supplementary plan, which will be reviewed by the leaders and voted by the general assembly.

2. Coordination

If colleagues misunderstand the plan for various reasons, I will actively communicate and coordinate with them. I believe that with my efforts, I will be able to reach an agreement with them and eliminate their misunderstandings. If my plan and their opinions are reasonable, I will actively discuss with them and try to reach a more comprehensive and reasonable plan.

3, adhere to the principle (overall situation)

If their opinions are unreasonable, I will patiently explain to them. I believe that under my persuasion, my colleagues can understand the content of the plan and cooperate with its implementation. If they insist on their own opinions, I will persuade and educate them based on the principle of seeking truth from facts and proceeding from the overall situation of the unit, so that they can understand their own problems, raise their awareness and help them make progress.

4. Summary and reflection

Through this incident, I found that there are still several problems in my work: first, the work is not detailed enough, which leads to the waste of administrative resources and low work efficiency; Second, the lack of timely and effective communication with colleagues leads to incomplete information collection; Third, the lack of professional ability leads to poor consideration. In view of these problems, in the future work, I will be conscientious, unite my colleagues, strengthen my study, improve my own quality, lead our department well and carry out our future work smoothly.

Example 3:

In a residential area, the fire alarm system of a resident's house suddenly alerted the police, and the property management staff of the residential area immediately arrived, found no one at home, and then broke into the house. It turns out that there is no fire in the house, which may be the fault of the alarm system. As the person in charge of property management, how will you properly handle this matter?

1, calm down: At work, we often encounter some unexpected situations. In the face of such a situation, I must first keep calm.

2. Emergency treatment: get to the scene in time to understand the specific situation at that time and ensure the property safety of the owner. At the same time, immediately notify the owner, explain what happened, apologize to the owner, and do a good job of appeasement. At the same time, negotiate with the owner for timely on-site maintenance to safeguard the interests of the owner.

3. Aftercare: Next, I will investigate the cause of the accident and make corresponding treatment according to the different situations of the investigation. If it is the fault of the alarm system in the community, I will contact the relevant departments to conduct a comprehensive inventory of the system in our community, and carry out timely maintenance and replacement according to the specific situation, paying attention to daily maintenance and inspection.

If it is caused by human factors, such as joking and playing pranks, I will criticize and educate the relevant personnel and ask them to bear corresponding responsibilities. At the same time, with the help of this matter, we will carry out a publicity and education work on the rational and legal use of the alarm system in the community, so that everyone can realize the importance of fire safety.

If the accident is caused by the negligence of the staff and the inaccurate judgment of the situation, then I will educate and train the community managers to improve our service level, so as to better serve the community.

Summary and reflection: As the person in charge, I have an unshirkable responsibility for this accident, no matter what the reason is. I will make a summary in time according to this incident, draw lessons, improve my own shortcomings, improve the quality of service, and avoid similar things in the future, thus promoting the construction of a harmonious community.
