This test is aimed at HP LaserJet 6L laser printer. Four consumable products participated in the test: original HP toner cartridge C3906F, Founder universal toner cartridge FZ-R3906, Xerox universal toner cartridge 400L008 16, and print-rite universal toner cartridge TRH1KLOC-0/2B.
At present, HP LaserJet 6L, which has a high usage rate among small and medium-sized users, uses drum and powder integrated toner cartridges. In the consumables market, HP original and universal products can be bought everywhere, and can also provide powder filling service for old toner cartridges. In this evaluation, the common toner cartridges of Founder, Xerox and Tianwei, which have high coincidence rate in the market, were selected, and a filled toner cartridge was also obtained. Through the test of printing effect, I can personally feel the characteristics of several products.
The products participating in this evaluation are the original toner cartridge C3906F of HP LaserJet 6L laser printer, Founder FZ-R3906 universal toner cartridge, Xerox 400L008 16 universal toner cartridge, and Print-Rite TRH112B universal toner cartridge. These manufacturers are well-known manufacturers in the printer and consumables industry. Hewlett-Packard Company adopts technologies such as fine toner and spiral roller drive in its products to ensure the perfect printing effect of original products. Founder and Tianwei are general environmentally-friendly recycled products with strict production and testing technology. With its leading technology in the copier industry, Xerox continues the working principle of laser printers, and also has strong technical advantages. How did the products of various manufacturers perform in the test?

Appearance performance
On the outer packaging, HP marked the telephone number and website of the department, and clearly provided users with some important common sense to ensure the printing quality. Several general-purpose products are marked with suitable models in the obvious position of packaging, which is convenient for users to choose. Xerox not only clearly marked its Chinese website on the outer packaging, but also provided 800 users with free telephone numbers. Tianwei's outer packaging has an English website and is marked "professional environmental protection toner cartridge". Founder products not only identify the website and telephone number, but also clearly indicate the number of sheets used and the date of production, which meets the requirements of users for the right to know about products.
In terms of product appearance, because they are all suitable for the same model, the styles of toner cartridges are basically the same. Drum-powder integrated selenium drum belongs to conventional consumables. Both the shell and the photosensitive component are made of polymer materials which are not easy to degrade. Large consumption will aggravate the high cost of energy and raw materials and cause environmental pollution. Printing effect
Several typical print samples were selected in the test, including: 100% all black, 5% to 50% gray scale, thin lines, squares, 500-2-point words, and simple graphics. These forms are also the most common print files in daily office printing. Each product in the test showed its own advantages and characteristics.
Using the method of printing extremely fine lines and arcs to test, we can see that the difference is mainly due to the different drivers of laser printers, but it is not effective for testing the fineness of toner. In the Windows environment, the thinnest thread can reach the thinnest 0.0 1 lb, which can be clearly shown in the output results of the original and universal toner cartridges.
Because HP LaserJet 6L is aimed at small and medium-sized users, the printed content is mainly document types, so this evaluation also pays the most attention to the printing effect of words. Let's take a look at the original product first. The C3906F toner cartridge used by HP LaserJet 6L also adopts fine toner technology, which can obtain clearer and sharper printing effect, smoother gray scale, finer texture and stronger fineness at the same printing resolution. Although the toner cartridge of HP C3906F product does not use ultra-fine toner technology, it can already print words with very clear strokes.
It is relatively easy to express large words, so the printing effect of the four products is not much different. The obvious difference is that the printing effect of HP and Founder is shallow, but the contrast between black and white is small, and the printing effect of Xerox and Tianwei is dark, which is a relative printing effect.
The difference between fine printing can be seen from the printing of tiny characters, as long as 2-point characters can be seen from the printing results. This is not surprising. HP's toner particles can distinguish strokes quite clearly, while Founder's universal toner can also distinguish strokes equally clearly, and the effect is quite good. Xerox and Tianwei's toner printing effect is not very clear. Judging from the results of 2-pound fine print, the strokes are piled up together and there is no gap between the strokes. Compared with HP, the toner particles are still a little larger, so the overall printing is a little thicker. However, in the printing results of documents with ordinary font size, the handwriting is neat and the printing effect can also well reflect the characteristics of powerful fonts (such as italics).
There is also the uniformity of toner cartridge printing, which can be tested by printing all-black format. HP products guarantee the same printing effect from 1 page to10,000 pages, and the toner output is quite uniform. The products of Founder and Tianwei also show good consistency. Xerox's output has an irregular light transition zone at the beginning. However, after a short transitional running-in period, the printing uniformity gradually tends to be consistent.
Some samples selected in the evaluation
In general, the service life of the toner cartridge is longer than that of the toner, so the refilled toner can be used for a while. However, the filled toner cartridge only has a simple powder filling process, and other components have not been tested and replaced, so continuous use will affect the printing quality, and the unreliable quality of the filled toner cartridge will cause many consequences. When the filled toner cartridge was used in this test, there were obvious defects such as spots, ink marks and powder leakage on the printing paper. In order not to damage the printer, all samples were not tested with it.
Recommended choice
The performance of HP original toner cartridge is excellent, which can achieve the best cooperation with its printer, and has high-quality output quality, while ensuring that the printer quality is not damaged. According to the test results, the print quality of several general-purpose toner cartridges participating in this evaluation can basically meet the output requirements of the printer, but it may be different under certain circumstances. General-purpose toner cartridges are also made of famous brands, and the product quality is also guaranteed, so users can use them with confidence. From the price point of view, it is lower than the original consumables, providing users with a variety of choices. Although the price of filling toner cartridges is attractive, there are too many hidden dangers, which may cause printer damage and cost more. Users are advised not to adopt this method to save costs.
