Article 6 If the person under investigation in a scientific research integrity case is a natural person, the unit where the case occurred shall be responsible for the investigation. If the investigation involves the dishonesty of the respondent in conducting scientific research in other units where he worked or studied, the units involved should actively cooperate with the investigation and handle it, and send the investigation and handling to the unit where the respondent works in time.
If the person under investigation is the main person in charge of the unit or the person under investigation is a legal entity, the higher authorities shall be responsible for the investigation. If there is no superior competent department, the provincial administrative department of science and technology or the unit responsible for the integrity construction of philosophy and social science research shall be responsible for organizing the investigation.
Seventh project and fund management departments (units) are responsible for organizing the investigation and punishment of scientific research dishonesty in the process of application, evaluation, implementation and conclusion of scientific research projects and funds funded by financial funds. Project reporting recommendation units, project undertaking units and project participating units shall, in accordance with the requirements of the project and fund management departments (units), take the initiative to carry out and actively cooperate with the investigation, and deal with those responsible for violations according to their duties and powers.
Eighth scientific and technological awards and scientific and technological personnel management departments (units) are responsible for organizing the investigation of scientific research dishonesty in the declaration of scientific and technological awards and scientific and technological personnel, and handling them accordingly in accordance with management responsibilities and authority. Science and technology awards, scientific and technical personnel recommended (nominated) units and reporting units should actively cooperate and take the initiative to investigate and deal with.
