What did Boqin explore after he opened up a new field of synthetic dyes in organic chemistry?
After opening up a new field of organic chemistry-synthetic dyes, Birchin did not stop his exploration. He and Grabe independently synthesized alizarin almost at the same time (Grabe applied for a patent one day before him). He also successfully synthesized coumarin, which is a white crystal with the fragrance of vanilla extract. His invention marked the beginning of the synthetic perfume industry. Because of his outstanding achievements, 1866, Birchin was elected as a member of the Royal Society of London. He is only 28 years old this year. By the age of 35, Birchin was rich and uninhibited because he produced aniline purple.
