We know that Russia went into space in the 1960s, the United States in the 1970s, and China, as a superpower, has never been able to go into space, which is a shame for China. Therefore, the Central Military Commission instructed the Military Medical Research Institute of the General Armament Department of China People's Liberation Army to develop calcium supplement products for China astronauts at any cost. This important task had no choice but to fall on Dr. Hu Wenxiang, who led the researchers to concentrate. In recent five years, a series of new technologies, such as advanced molecular design, separation and extraction of bioactive components from natural drugs, synergistic combination catalysis, scientific formula and so on, have been adopted to develop high-efficiency neutral calcium supplements, and obtained national patents (see "Further Reading").
This research achievement was first tested on 1800 officers and men transferred by the General Armament Department. After taking it for half a year, the bone mineral density of 1800 officers and men recovered to more than 90%, and the highest was 98%. 1998 is dedicated to cadres above the Corps, members of the three national satellite launch bases (Jiuquan, Taiyuan and Xichang) and ocean-going survey ships and central leaders. At a meeting in 2002, General Secretary Jiang pointed out that good military products can serve the people and let them gradually enter the market.
