China ranks first in the world with an annual output of 6,543,800 tons of steel wire rope. The main varieties of wire rope are as follows:
1. Phosphating coated steel wire rope (patented technology), the steel wire is phosphatized by manganese series or zinc-manganese series, and the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the steel wire have all jumped. The compound action of phosphating film and grease can effectively inhibit fretting wear, and the fatigue life is about 3 times that of smooth steel wire rope with the same structure. Fatigue life can be verified by fatigue test (it is most credible to do fatigue test in person). It is an upgraded product of smooth steel wire rope and can also replace galvanized layer.
2. Galvanized steel wire rope, including hot dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. Generally speaking, the galvanized zinc layer is thick and the galvanized zinc layer is thin.
3. Stainless steel wire rope, mainly made of 304 or 3 16 stainless steel, has excellent anticorrosion effect, but it is expensive.
4. Based on plastic-coated steel wire rope and carbon steel wire rope, the outer layer is coated with polyethylene, polypropylene or nylon.
5. Due to the sharp drop in market demand, smooth steel wire rope will be completely replaced by phosphating coated steel wire rope.
6. Steel wire rope for mooring in offshore engineering
7. Wire rope
For use in atmospheric environment, phosphating coated steel wire rope is preferred, hot dip galvanized-phosphating double-coated steel wire rope is preferred in heavy corrosion environment, and marine steel wire rope is preferred in seawater. Please note that the name of wire rope, such as phosphating coated wire rope or 3 16 stainless steel wire rope, must be indicated on the purchase invoice to protect your legitimate rights and interests. In addition, patented products will generally be marked with the patent number on the outer packaging of steel wire rope, and the main technical indicators such as the type and weight of phosphating film should be listed on the warranty book for reference only.
