A prize named after Nobel is awarded internationally every year. To encourage contributing scientists and peaceful warriors.
Nobel devoted himself to scientific research and never married. He dared to practice and studied hard, and finally obtained 255 patents, including 129 patents related to explosives. His intention in inventing the important weapon was to benefit mankind. However, after the invention of explosives, it increased the crisis of war and brought disaster to mankind. Nobel was very sad about this. Before his death, he decided to use a portion of his inheritance, NT$9.2 million, as a fund, and award its interest every year to people in the world who have contributed to the cause of peace and scientific research.
There are three types of Nobel Prizes in the natural sciences: physics, chemistry, physiology and medicine. In other areas, there are two types of Nobel Prizes: literature and peace. Later, economics was added. This prize has been awarded once a year since 1901 and is evaluated by the Nobel Prize Committee specially set up by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. In the past 80 years, except for a few years of suspension due to the two world wars, the annual prize has been awarded on December 10, the day of Nobel's death.
