Shaoguan City, located in the northern part of Guangdong Province, is located at the southern foot of Wuling Mountain, in the middle and upper reaches of Beijiang River, with the Pearl River Delta as its inner link and Jiangxi as its outer link. It is a city in the one-hour life circle of Guangzhou, the southern transportation hub of China, and is known as the North Gate of Guangdong. Shaoguan is located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone with mountainous and hilly terrain, with a total area of 182 18.06 square kilometers. Shaoguan was called Shaozhou in ancient times, named after Shao Shi Mountain, a famous mountain in Danxia, and changed Donghengzhou to Shaozhou in the name of Shao Shi, which has been followed by generations. Qujiang County was established in Ding Yuan in six years, and Shaoguan was administered by the county. Shaozhou was named after Shaoguan in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In this city, Shaoguan has set up three water and land customs to collect taxes, commonly known as Shaoguan.
