The difference between individual application and school application lies in the difference between patent applicant and authorized patentee. Where an individual applies for a patent for a technical scheme, both the patent applicant and the patentee are individuals; If it mainly uses the resources of the school or is related to the work, it belongs to the service invention. Patent applicants and patentees are both schools and individuals are inventors.
If an individual is a patent applicant, the relevant patent application fee shall be borne by him, and the proceeds from patent transfer, licensing and implementation shall be owned by him; If the school is a patent applicant, the relevant patent application fees shall be borne by the school. As a service invention, the school should give the inventor a certain cash reward.
