South China University of Technology, referred to as "South China University of Technology", is located in Guangzhou and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a national key university determined by the Ministry of Education and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and ranks among the "double-class" universities in China.
According to the school official website in March 2020, since 2009, South China University of Technology has won the number of China patents, ranking first among universities in China. In 20 15 years, the patent technology transfer index ranks first among universities in China.
In 20 19, the top 30 universities in national science and technology innovation ranked second. In April 2020, the school official website showed that South China University of Technology has 3 national key laboratories, 5 national engineering (technology) research centers, 6 national engineering laboratories, and 1 national platform for liberal arts.
