Dual Clutch Transmi ss ion (DCT) is an automatic transmission driven by European cars headed by Volkswagen. In 194, Rudolph Franke, a professor at Darmstadt University, was the first to apply for a DCT patent. Among the four major schools of transmission (automatic transmission, continuously variable transmission, automatic manual transmission and DCT transmission), the greatest advantages of DCT over the other three transmission modes are energy saving, good comfort, strong reliability and low production cost. The components that DCT communicates with manual transmission are only mechanical parts such as gears, shafts and boxes, and these AT can also be used. Compared with manual transmission, the dual clutch module and hydraulic control system, the core components of DCT, are completely different. If we want to say that the automatic transmission closest to the manual transmission should be AMT (Electronic Controlled Mechanical Automatic Transmission), we just need to add a set of automatic shift control system on the basis of MT (Manual Transmission). DCT, AT (Hydraulic Automatic Transmission), AMT (Electronically Controlled Mechanical Automatic Transmission) and CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) all have their own advantages and their own adaptive markets. It is unreasonable to simply say which one to support. As long as it is new technology, as long as it has independent core technology.
