He has been engaged in research work in the fields of microwave, millimeter wave and terahertz electronics for a long time. He has presided over more than 20 national and ministerial projects such as major national science and technology projects, the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation (key/general), and the National Defense Pre-research and Innovation Orientation Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has published more than 400 papers in academic journals and conferences at home and abroad (SCI 130 and EI-270). Authorized 22 national invention patents; Won 2 second prizes for national scientific and technological progress, 1 prize for outstanding scientific and technological achievements of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 prize for national defense science and technology, 1 prize for scientific and technological progress of Ministry of Education and 3 second prizes for ministerial scientific and technological progress.
It has trained 3 postdoctoral students, more than 30 doctoral students (two of whom won the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of China Academy of Sciences) and more than 20 master students, and successively won the awards of "Excellent Postgraduate Tutor", "pollyanna chu Excellent Teacher" and "Excellent Postgraduate Tutor" from China Academy of Sciences.
