Huawei sued Amazon over patent disputes. Why did it wait until now?

Amazon used Huawei's patented technology, but it did not pay the corresponding patent fees.

Amazon first infringed Huawei’s patents. It is illegal for Amazon to use Huawei's patents without Huawei's permission, and it is also illegal to repost other people's works without permission. Therefore, it is normal for Huawei to sue Amazon over this patent dispute. After all, Amazon has seriously violated Huawei's rights and interests. Huawei must sue Amazon and require it to compensate for relevant costs and stop using Huawei's patents. For example, don't be surprised to learn that many large companies own patents. These patents are similar to television rights.

If you want to use them, you need to ask the patent owner for authorization, otherwise you will not be able to use the patent. If someone else's patent is used without the patent holder's consent, the patent holder can claim compensation for related losses. The Patent Work Management Department can handle patent infringement disputes. If it is found that the infringement has been established, it can order the infringer to immediately stop the infringement. If the party concerned is dissatisfied, he may file a lawsuit with the People's Court in accordance with the Administrative Litigation Law of the People's Republic of China within 15 days from the date of receipt of the handling notice.

If the infringer fails to sue or ceases infringement within the time limit, the administrative agency may apply for a patent application to the People's Court for enforcement. From a legal perspective, this is actually an ordinary civil tort case. Huawei has certain rights to its company's reputation. For example, the company launched its own products, such as Liumao Technology, without permission. Meanwhile, no explanation was given later. This behavior misleads consumers and is also unfair personal competition. Huawei's call for such personal behavior is certainly not excessive, and one action is certain.

Huawei has almost lost its ability to obtain chips. Most of the Kirin series chips are products that TSMC worked overtime to promote. After all, before the ban took effect, it had already collected a large number of Kirin series chips, which could overcome the problem in the short term. Huawei Mate40 series is a typical example.
