Lu Ping’s personal experience

Graduated from Nanjing University of Technology (formerly Nanjing Institute of Chemical Technology) in July 1990.

Received a master's degree in inorganic non-metallic materials science and engineering from Nanjing University of Technology in April 1993.

Received a doctorate in thermal engineering from Southeast University in April 2002.

Worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Automation Research Institute of Southeast University from April 2002 to March 2004.

From February 2005 to September 2006, he served as a visiting scholar at Western Kentucky University (WKU) in the United States. During his stay in the United States, he undertook a number of projects for governments, scientific research institutions, and government agencies such as the U.S. DOE, the U.S. EPRI, and the U.S. NETL. Basic research on corporate-sponsored projects on mercury pollution emissions and control from coal-fired power plants.

In December 2013, he was appointed as the dean of the School of Energy and Mechanical Engineering of Nanjing Normal University and a director of the Jiangsu Engineering Thermophysics Society. He presided over the National Natural Science Foundation (51076067) and the Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation key project ( BK2010081), Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation Project (BK2002026), China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, 973 National Key Basic Research Development Planning Project sub-topics and more than ten horizontal cooperation projects. He has obtained 6 national invention patents, 3 utility model patents, and published more than 80 papers in core journals at home and abroad, including more than 40 papers included in SCI and EI. From June 2 to June 7, 2012, Lu Ping went to Naples, Italy to attend the 21st International Fluidized Bed Combustion Conference.
