What's the difference between outstanding ieee lecturers and ieee academicians?

Life titles refer to those who are over 65 years old and have been an IEEE member for more than 1 years. You know, there are Life Member and Life Senior Member! As for IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, many people get DL first and then make some other contributions before they can apply for Fellow. The highest honor of a member is: IEEE Distinguished Lecturer.

IEEE Fellow is an IEEE academician, which is generally translated as Fellow in China. As the highest-ranking member of the Association,

IEEE Fellow is an engineer, scientist, educator, technical director or inventor who has made some contributions in related fields. Generally, after years of growth of ordinary members, members and professional members, they are qualified to become members. Associate Member qualification-anyone interested in IT field can apply to join, and the membership fee is 27~93 USD/half a year.

Student Member qualification-undergraduates and postgraduates majoring in computer and IT in various colleges and universities can apply for membership, and the membership fee is $13 ~ $16 per half year.

professional Member qualification-with higher education background or engaged in research, development, operation and management for more than 6 years in the IT industry, and the membership fee is 27~93 USD/half a year.

Senior Member qualification-an engineer, scientist, educator, technical director or inventor in related fields of ——IEEE, with at least ten years of professional practice (undergraduate degree -3 years, master degree -4 years, doctor degree -5 years, outstanding work achievements in the last five years (served as project leader, published papers/patents, or volunteered to organize relevant social activities). Fellow Member qualification-has made certain contributions in related fields, has become a senior member of IEEE, and has been a member of IEEE for more than five years. Nominated by anyone (preferably an IEEE Fellow), and submit an individual application online after providing at least 5 letters of recommendation from IEEE Fellows. The IEEE Society/Technical Council first conducts a preliminary review, then submits it to the IEEE Fellow Committee for review, and finally the final review is conducted by the IEEE Board of Directors. [5] Every year, there are about 8 individual applications, and about 3 of them pass the examination and become IEEE Fellow, with a passing rate of 35-4%.
