According to patent documents, this smartphone is the size of an ordinary smartphone at first glance, but if the screen is pulled to the right, it can be expanded to 30% of the existing screen. The user is able to pull part of the display if desired.
The smartphone is also equipped with an under-screen camera, and the light sensor and distance sensor are also located below the upper left corner of the screen. Additionally, a fingerprint sensor is also mounted below the display. There are three cameras arranged vertically on the back, and a heart rate sensor is installed next to the camera flash.
Recently, Samsung Electronics registered the Galaxy Z Slide/Z Roll trademark with the European Patent Office. Judging from the brand name, Z Slide is a roll-screen mobile phone, and Z Roll is a slide-type smartphone with a rolling display.
Samsung Electronics has previously registered multiple patents for mobile phones equipped with scroll screens.
