In the pure line cultivation of shellfish, various shellfish breeding institutions or laboratories in China have established a large number of families of different shellfish species and cultivated excellent strains with obvious growth and survival advantages or phenotypic characteristics. "Zhongkehong" bay scallop is the first artificially cultivated new shellfish species in China. Breeding by family and hybrid+selection technology shows that family breeding has obvious advantages in cultivating new shellfish varieties with stable genetic traits. In addition, there are Chlamys farreri, Chlamys farreri, Zebra Clam, Sea Red Clam and China Red Wrinkled Haliotis discus hannai, all of which are new varieties or strains cultivated by family breeding methods. "Haiyou 1" Pinctada martensii strain produces mostly silvery white pearls, and its growth cycle is shortened by nearly one year.
