In January 1914, Cecil B. DeMille, a former stage manager and playwright, had established a motion picture center in Hollywood, California.
In 1913, DeMille was looking for a location to shoot his first feature film, a Western. Flagstaff, Arizona was Demir's first choice, but the city was more snow-capped than he expected. Mountain.
