China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and China International Chamber of Commerce keep in touch with more than 400 chambers of commerce, federations of industry and commerce, foreign trade associations and other economic and trade organizations in more than 80 countries and regions in the world, sign cooperation agreements with counterpart organizations in hundreds of countries and regions, and establish joint chambers of commerce with chambers of commerce in some countries; At the same time, CCPIT also has overseas representative offices in 15 countries and regions. At home, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and China International Chamber of Commerce have established 48 local branches, more than 600 branches and county-level international chambers of commerce in various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and also established 65,400 in machinery, electronics, light industry, textile, agriculture, automobile, petrochemical, commerce, metallurgy, aviation, aerospace, chemical industry, building materials, general industry, supply and marketing cooperation, construction, grain and other departments.

The main duties and tasks of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade:
(1), carry out liaison work with economic and trade delegations, business associations and other relevant international organizations from all countries and regions in the world, invite and receive foreign economic and trade circles and representative groups to visit, organize China economic, trade, technology and entrepreneur delegations to visit and inspect abroad, and participate in relevant international organizations and their activities; Responsible for contacting foreign counterpart organizations and representative offices established by foreign chambers of commerce in China; Sending permanent representatives or establishing representative offices abroad; Organize, participate in or jointly hold international conferences on economy, trade, technical cooperation and law with foreign counterparts. Macau Convention and Exhibition Industry Association (2), representing the country in international exhibitions, hosting and participating in world expositions, hosting China trade fairs and participating in international trade expositions abroad; Responsible for the centralized coordination and related management and supervision of holding economic and trade exhibitions or participating in international expositions abroad.
(3) Arranging and receiving foreign economic and trade or technical exhibitions held in China, hosting international professional or comprehensive exhibitions, and organizing and hosting international expositions; Coordinate and receive foreign economic, trade and technical exhibitions held in China by relevant domestic parties.
(4) Handling international economic and trade and maritime arbitration affairs; Issue certificates of origin for China's export commodities; Accepting cases of adjustment of general average and particular average; Issue force majeure certificates, and issue and certify documents for foreign trade and maritime business; Issue relevant documents and provide guarantees for companies, enterprises or individuals engaged in temporary export activities abroad.
(5) Acting as an agent for trademark registration and patent application of Chinese enterprises abroad or foreign companies and individuals in China, and handling consultation, disputes and technical trade related to industrial property rights and intellectual property rights.
