Comparison between Kirin 970 and Kirin 980

Compared with Kirin 970 chip and Kirin 980 chip, their performance gap is not big. As the next generation product of 970, 980 adopts the updated 7nm process technology, which has better endurance than 970, upgraded cpu performance and smoother game playing.

1, production process:

TSMC 10nm process technology adopted by Kirin 970;

Kirin 980 has been upgraded to TSMC's 7 nm process technology. The lower the value, the lower the power consumption and the stronger the endurance.

2, the core of the cpu is different:

Kirin 970 uses A73 nucleus plus A53 nucleus;

980 is upgraded to the core architecture of A76+A55, with 128kb second-level cache and 4MB third-level cache scheme, and the game performance is stronger.

3. Different speeds:

The highest rate of 970 is only 1.2Gbps, and 970 only supports 4G networks.

The baseband of Kirin 980 is upgraded to the fastest download rate of 1.4Gbps, and 980 also supports 5G networks.
