Talk about positive psychology

I recently watched Harvard University’s open course "Positive Psychology" and I was deeply touched by it.

Positive psychology talks about the importance of positive psychological cues in promoting the healthy development of things. This effect is like the butterfly effect. A butterfly in the Amazon rainforest in South America, flapping its wings occasionally, can cause a tornado in Texas two weeks later.

This kind of psychological suggestion works in our subconscious mind. It can actively suggest people to think about good things and behave in a good way.

For example, in the same English test, both A and B failed to pass. A thinks it seems that I have to put more effort into improving my English scores, and I must strive to get better results next time. B thought that indeed my English was a mess. I might not have the talent to learn English at all. I even felt very frustrated, as if I had accomplished nothing.

Then A will definitely develop in a good direction in future studies, and his grades will gradually rise. Even if a person with a positive attitude has a decline in the process of rising grades, Nor will I be discouraged or doubt myself.

And a negative person has set limits on himself and feels that he is unable to accomplish something, so he may not be able to break through himself and create more ideal results.

We all know that Edison invented the light bulb and successfully converted electrical energy into light energy. But before that he had tried more than 5,000 times without success. When a reporter interviewed him, he said: You have failed 5,000 times, why don't you give up? ! Edison said that I did not fail, I succeeded 5,000 times, and I successfully eliminated 5,000 possibilities.

Edison was a prolific scientist. He contributed more than 1,000 patents and more than 2,000 inventions to mankind throughout his life. It can be said that we are inseparable from him today, but often the more successful a person is, the more times he has experienced failure. One of the differences between ordinary people and them is the difference in mentality.

Edison has a famous saying that is still widely circulated today: "Failure is the mother of success."

A classmate asked Mr. He Chuan, a famous self-media person and founder of Socket App, to recommend some good ones. Books, Teacher He Chuan said: In fact, in my understanding, there are really no so-called good books and bad books. If I must find a criterion, I think it might be this: this book can enter your life, and it can truly affect you.

It’s not necessarily a big impact on you, it may be a very specific impact:

For example, after you finish reading a book, you apologize to your lover. After you read a book, you begin to understand that the way you treated your colleagues in the past was wrong; even after you read a book, you feel that you should sit up straighter and stand taller;... these are all fine.

As long as a book can enter your life and have some direct impact on you, I think it is a good book.

So by extension, what is a good course? I think "Positive Psychology" is a good course, a course worthy of many of us learning. Because it can guide real life and help us in work, life and interpersonal relationships.

One of the most important significances of this course is that it can enhance happiness, and happiness is the ideal goal we pursue throughout our lives.

I recommend everyone to take a look at this course. There are resources on site B, with 23 episodes in one. I have only watched episode 6 now, and I watch one episode every night before going to bed. Interested friends can take a look.
