One is the RGB triangle arrangement commonly used in domestic organic light-emitting diodes. This arrangement divides the green sub-pixel into two parts, and the red and blue pixels are sharply reduced and the pixel arrangement is uneven, resulting in large PPI loss, sharp display details and strong sawtooth sense. This is the BOE screen.

The other is that Samsung adopts Pentile arrangement, that is, P arrangement. By borrowing adjacent sub-pixels to form three primary colors, the area of red and blue pixels is twice that of green sub-pixels. A rhombic arrangement refers to a pentagonal arrangement with rhombic subpixels. Diamond arrangement can reduce graininess by improving resolution, "no 2K, no A screen".

As far as the display effect is concerned, the high-resolution diamond arrangement is indeed much better than that of Zhou Dongyu. Moreover, diamond arrangement is a patent of Samsung, and domestic organic light-emitting diode manufacturers cannot use it without Samsung's authorization.

The key to making chips lies in mask aligner, and the screen depends on the evaporation machine. Unfortunately, both are weaknesses of our country. The evaporator and evaporation process can be said to be the most difficult part in the production process of organic light-emitting diodes, which is one of the reasons why Samsung can lead for a long time, because Samsung has the most advanced evaporator at present.

Japanese Canon Tokki Company almost monopolized the vacuum evaporation machine, producing less than a dozen sets a year, each of which costs hundreds of millions of dollars, and is called the ASML of mask aligner. Because Samsung gambled on organic light-emitting diodes a long time ago and fully supported Canon Tokki, it has today's status.

As the core equipment of organic light emitting diode, evaporator has also become the short board of BOE. Because of the core technical problems, China is still in the situation of "lack of core and screen".

Samsung's achievements in organic light-emitting diodes, in addition to top-notch production equipment, can not be separated from lasting technology research and development and improved technology, which makes Samsung's organic light-emitting diodes yield extremely high and orders emerge one after another. Fortunately, at present, the yield of domestic BOE has exceeded 70%, although it is not as good as Samsung, but it can be expected in the future.

Although Samsung's organic light-emitting diodes are excellent, the cost is high and the corresponding price is relatively expensive. Mobile phone manufacturers need to spend more money to purchase. Therefore, compared with Samsung, the price advantage of BOE is obvious, which is why more and more domestic mobile phones begin to consider domestic organic light-emitting diodes. Samsung is too expensive!

There is no doubt that BOE's organic light-emitting diodes still have a gap with Samsung in screen quality. However, the gap is gradually narrowing, which depends on whether JD.COM can overtake in the corner.

As a consumer, in fact, BOE's organic light-emitting diodes are enough. If you want to pursue better display effect, Samsung's flagship organic light-emitting diode is still the first choice. For example, the M 10 material used in this year's S20 series is also the top organic light-emitting diode.
