What is the difference between generic drugs and me too drugs? Or is it the same? Pharmacy issues.

Generic drugs refer to drugs that are already on the market. Except for the first original research company, other companies that produce them can be called generics.

The definition of generic drugs in China is: drugs that are already on the market in China, and those that other companies apply for production are called generic drugs. It is different from the definition abroad.

Me too drugs specifically refer to drugs with their own intellectual property rights, and their efficacy is equivalent to similar breakthrough drugs. This kind of new drug research, which aims to avoid the property rights protection of "patented" drugs, mostly uses existing drugs as leads. The main point of research is to find similar chemical structures that are not protected by patents. This kind of research may sometimes lead to drugs with better activity or pharmacokinetic characteristics than the original "breakthrough" drugs. To put it bluntly, they are drugs that are structurally improved from existing drugs.

Me too drugs may also become generic drugs.

These are two different concepts. It doesn't make any sense.
