To apply for a patent, you can submit it directly to the Patent Office, or you can entrust a patent agency to handle it on your behalf:
1) Submit the patent application documents (the design documents include six front views of the product (the directional drawing without design points can be omitted) and optional product perspective drawing and brief description) and the patent request (including the name of the invention, the applicant, the inventor and their related information, etc. ) and the patent application fee paid to the patent office (that is, the formal fee paid to the patent office). From this, the application date and application number can be obtained, which is the only number examined by the patent office in the future. The formal admission notice will be issued within two weeks after the application date.
2) If the Patent Office examines and issues a notice of examination opinions, the applicant shall reply within the prescribed time limit. After the examination is finally qualified, the patent office issues a notice of authorization, indicating that it agrees to authorize.
3) After the applicant carries out authorization registration, the patent authorization announcement takes effect and the patent certificate is obtained.
Design authorization is 5-6 months.
